An added benefit is that this technology promises the public good of reducing greenhouse gas emissions Dr Devine said.The research team led by Professor Kalantar-zadeh and Dr Dorna Esrafilzadeh are leaders in the field and have had previous success with commercialising their university research.The Deputy Director, Knowledge Exchange at the University of New South Wales, Dax Kukulj, said LM Plus is an exciting early-stage deep technology company developing not only a product that is potentially of global benefit but also a new industry for Australia coming from research conducted at UNSW.Research and development will be conducted at UNSW through a research contract between the company and the university. As the company moves towards production it will move to external facilities.About LM Plus A spin out from the University of New South Wales, LM Plus was established in 2021 to commercialise research that is able to capture solid carbon from carbon dioxide based on research by Professor Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh and Dr Dorna Esrafilzadeh from UNSW and Dr Torben Daeneke from RMIT. The fund facilitates the commercialisation of its research partners most promising intellectual property and secures targeted investment in resulting products and technologies.
