Investment firm Skip Capital, headed by Kim Jackson and her husband Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar, is broadening its focus beyond startups with the launch of a $100 million infrastructure fund.Skips latest move comes on the back of it investing a record $100 million in 2020, a year that Ms Jackson said was a tumultuous one for the funds portfolio companies, which includes design unicorn Canva and fintech Airwallex.She said the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March was an incredibly stressful time for all businesses with Skip focused on supporting its portfolio companies and deploying more than $100 million over the course of the year into existing and new investments.Theres been a lot of excitement in tech markets, you have seen the NASDAQ perform so well and that has trickled down all the way through to startups at all levels, she said.
