Vouga Abogados has counselled the economic conglomerate Grupo Azeta in the acquisition of 50% of the share capital of Biggie, a chain of 24-hour convenience stores.This transaction marks a significant milestone for Grupo Azeta, which will integrate this business with its other activities in the retail sector, as well as being one of the largest acquisitions so far in 2024.The advice involved support in all aspects of the transaction, from structuring to closing, including due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, financing, and regulatory approvals.In addition, the National Competition Commission (CONACOM) recently unconditionally approved the transaction, during phase 1 of its evaluation; the firm was in charge of the notification process before CONACOM, on behalf of both parties.Vougas team consisted of partners Rodolfo G.
