This 8 figure acquisition expands the services that Varsity Tutors’ customers may access, including expertly taught live online classes, on-demand recorded content and undergraduate and MBA admissions consulting. In addition to undergraduate and MBA admissions consulting expertise, the company offers ACT, GMAT, GRE, and SAT courses, as well as a dozen test prep books. Veritas Prep and its management team led by Chad Troutwine will continue to operate from its office in Calabasas, California. Founded in 2007 by Chuck Cohn, CEO, Varsity Tutors provides a live learning platform that currently connects students to more than 40,000 experts for individualized instruction in 1,000+ subjects. Varsity Tutors has raised $107m in funding from investors including TCV, Learn Capital and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
