Williamsport Bureau of Fire gets new record-keeping software

The City of Williamsport has approved an agreement between the Williamsport Bureau of Fire and ESO for software programs to manage record keeping and incidents. All of the documentation from the prior software package can be transferred into the ESO software, said Fire Chief Sam Aungst. The cost is just short of $15,000 and, because the bureau did not pay the previous bill in January and February for the other service, the city will put that amount toward the ESO cost. Councilwoman Bonnie Katz asked about the difference in price. There is no penalty for closing out the contract with the previous software company.
