Summary
The project aims to enhance access to funding in less-developed EU ecosystems by attracting foreign investors able to co-invest with local VCs and support growth-stage companies. We will leverage the expertise and networks of the project partners to connect, enhance, and expand at the pan-EU level, a process naturally done by some VCs in emerging ecosystems to support the best start-ups in their portfolios in the efforts of raising new rounds: the syndication with foreign VCs with a more robust investment capacity. \U0001f680 COINVESTIN focuses on creating cross-border co-investment opportunities for modest and moderate EU ecosystems by leveraging promising startups in the portfolio of local investors to attract foreign investors from more advanced ecosystems in their new rounds. We aim to pilot the approach in 4 emerging ecosystems (Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, and Portugal) where the consortium partners have a strong footprint and progressively integrate at least all emerging and moderate ecosystems by the end of the project. #coinvestin #investment #deeptech #innovation #coinvestment #cooperation #scaleup
