Interesting article by the Financial Times on increasing number of deal-by-deal fundraising initiatives. However, we do smaller intermediate equity rounds to onboard several investors at a time for concrete deals in agreed or signed phase which we can present them. Their capital is called in full and the equity round closed once sufficiently funded. This means we are putting our investors money to work from the moment they commit, without charging fees on capital that is not being invested. At the same time we get a head start by being able to invest from our funds once launched without having to fundraise first towards the full target size.
