Sixth Street Invests in Blue Stream

Sixth Street, a private equity firm, has joined data infrastructure investor GI Partners as an investor in Blue Stream Fiber.Headquartered in Coral Springs, Fla., Blue Stream Fiber provides 10 gigabit broadband, as well as video and voice services, over fiber-optic networks to housing associations and neighborhoods under contracted bulk service agreements. The deal provides Blue Stream Fiber with additional resources to expand as it continues to provide fiber-optic connectivity services to residential and commercial customers. GI Partners will continue to hold a majority stake in the company.Lazard acted as financial advisor, and Ropes & Gray LLP served as legal counsel to Blue Stream Fiber and GI Partners. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to Sixth Street.
