Sonichem Raises £1.2M in Pre-Series A Funding

Sonichem, a Leicestershire, UK-based startup that converts forestry by-products into renewable biochemicals, raised £1.2M in Pre-Series A funding. Led by CEO Adrian Black, Sonichem is an early-stage clean technology company that uses ultrasonic processing to convert by-products of forestry into renewable bio-based chemicals. The company is working on the ultrasonic processing of woody biomass to extract high-value, renewable biochemicals with broad sector applications including bio-based materials, sustainable cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products.
