Stockholm-based Serverpod secures €1.7 million to remove barriers for faster app development

Viktor Lidholt, the CEO of Serverpod, wrote his first code at age 12 and spent over a decade as a game developer and product designer in Sweden including a stint at Stardoll. In 2012, Viktor moved to Silicon Valley where he joined Google in 2015 as Senior Software Engineer on the newly founded Flutter project. Meanwhile, he was also quick to realize that the framework was missing a backend solution that could make the life of developers easier and their technical products even stronger. Today, more than 6 million developers are using Flutter as their cross-platform framework to push more than 20% of all new apps in Google Play out – and the growth does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
