dSPACE and Spirent to deliver integrated automotive test solutions
Summary
This integration allows autonomous driving system developers to test vehicle behaviour in location-dependent scenarios using actual satellite signals. It acts as an additional sensor for validating driver assistance algorithms and becomes a crucial component in the digital homologation process. Spirent’s SimHIL software interface ensures effective and dependable communication between the systems of both partners. Adam Price, Spirent’s Vice President of PNT Simulation, commented: “We are very excited to be partnering with dSPACE as a leader in the automotive test industry. Our complementary portfolios are focused on quality, accuracy, and reliability, and together they provide compelling solutions to ensure that the next generation of connected and autonomous vehicles will be tested to the level of efficiency and safety that the industry demands.”
