Solar Energy: Mitigating Impact of PG&E Rate Increases

In an accounting report submitted to state regulators covering that three-year span, PG&E disclosed that it exceeded its budget set by the California Public Utilities Commission for vegetation management by a substantial $9.3 billion. PG&E contends that it has faced challenges from storms and unforeseen incidents, incurring “significant” costs beyond what regulators approve for vegetation management.
