New Yorker Electronics announce release of new by Vishay Intertechnology wet tantalum capacitors
Summary
These STH electrolytic capacitors are designed for avionics and aerospace applications, offering the benefits of Vishay’s SuperTan extended series devices, but with enhanced military H-level shock (500 g) and vibration capabilities (sine: 80g; random: 54 g), as well as improved thermal shock resistance of up to 300 cycles. These newly released devices provide military H-level performance in a SuperTan series, presenting a cost-effective alternative to high-reliability wet tantalum capacitors. The STH series operates over a temperature range of -55 °C to +85 °C, extending to +125 °C with voltage derating. They also offer low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) down to 0.50 Ω at 120 Hz and + 25 °C. Samples and production quantities of the new STH wet tantalum capacitors are currently available from New Yorker Electronics, with lead times of 16 to 20 weeks for larger orders.
