Summary

Magnachip Semiconductor has begun full-scale mass production of its new 30V MXT LV Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFETs) used in Electronic Control Units (ECUs) of Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems. The 30V MXT LV MOSFET provides a stable power supply to EPS, assisting a vehicle’s directional control through an electric motor. The MAX77837 from Analog Devices (ADI) is an extremely small nanoPower buck-boost converter optimised for single-cell battery chemistries used in wearable and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. TDK has released the FS series of µPOL DC-DC converters for demanding applications such as big data, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G cells, IoT, computing enterprise and many others besides. Based on this, the AH371xQ series can support numerous in-vehicle comfort and engine management applications—including window power-lift and sunroof movement, tailgate opening/closing mechanisms, seat adjustment motors, cooling fans, water/oil pumps, and speed measurement.
