eBay has agreed to acquire Expertmaker, a Malmö, Sweden-based provider of intelligent solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and big data analytics.The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.Upon the close of the transaction, Expertmaker’s employees will join eBay’s structured data product and technology team, which is organizing the company’s vast inventory in order to better aggregate insights into supply and demand to build better user experiences and improve discoverability.Founder and CEO, Lars Hard, will join as Director, Data Science reporting into Amit Menipaz’s organization.Founded in 2006, Expertmaker is a partner of eBay since 2010.
