Google (GOOG) acquired Polar, a Lucerne Valley, CA-based instant opinions & engagement platform.The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.Founded by Luke Wroblewski and Jeff Cole, Polar is an iPhone app that enables users to create and vote on photo polls, which is optimized for smartphones, tablets, PCs.The company, which had raised $1.2m from several investors in 2013 (read here), will join the Google+ team.To ensure the transition od data for existing customers, publisher tools will be available until the end of 2014.
