LoveThis, a London, UK-based app to save and share recommendations, has said it had raised £1.25m in seed funding.Backers included angel investors such as Gi Fernando, Founder of Techlightenment, a Facebook global marketing partner and board director at LoveThis.Founded in November 2011 by Alexis Dormandy, a former Virgin Group board director, LoveThis is “Evernote for recommendations”, according to Gi Fernando.It allows users to build a personal collection of recommendations, to browse friends’ recommendations and collect recommendations that they’d like to try out or remember.The company released a new version of its service, which is available on the web at www.lovethis.com and is free to download from Apple App Store.
