Sketchfab Closes $7M Series A Funding Round

Sketchfab, a NYC- and Paris, France-based , closed a $7m Series A funding round.The round was led by FirstMark Capital with participation from TechStars, Partech, Balderton and Borealis.The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.Led by Alban Denoyel, CEO, Pierre-Antoine Passet, CPO, and Cedric Pinson, CTO, Sketchfab is a web service to publish, share and embed interactive 3D models on web pages, and display them in real-time without a plug-in.It integrates with all major 3D creation tools, and is natively built in Photoshop, Modo and Blender.
