Molex expands European operations with new campus

Plans for future expansion of the facility up to 85,000 square metres are part of Molexs growth strategy in Poland, adding to its existing sites in Rokitki and Sulęcin. Paul Chaffin, Phillips-Medisize SVP and President of Molex Medical and Pharma Solutions, commented: “The Katowice campus will expand our European footprint, providing our pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medtech customers with new capabilities and the expert support they need to bring innovative new products to market.” Molex has invested $110 million in these facilities, which will initially support Phillips-Medisize in the production of pharmaceutical, medical, and diagnostic devices. The site will feature advanced capabilities, including medical device assembly, packaging, drug handling, and injection moulding. The large pool of skilled manufacturing and engineering resources in the Katowice area was a key factor in Molexs site selection. At full capacity, the campus will employ approximately 350 employees, including production operators, design engineers, and quality specialists.
