Airflow Sciences Corporation has been awarded $250,000 as part of this initiative, to turn carbon wells into a maximum-security operation. The Michigan-based company has invented a complete solution for the monitoring of underground COstorage including early leak detection, minute-by-minute monitoring, and maintenance alerts.Many scientific and industrial leaders agree that carbon storage has a critical role to play in the fight against climate change. As the world races toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, some industries just dont have the available technology to eliminate their reliance on fossil fuels yet. We have teamed up with major industry partners, even in the early stage of the SBIR project, to ensure a successful development, field installation, and demonstration.
