Summary

Harford County’s Board of Education got a preview Monday of the Oracle Cloud system chosen last year to handle its day-to-day business activities. “The vision is to develop a highly efficient and effective system of integrated processes that positively affects all stakeholders and ultimately the life cycle of every employee from recruitment to retirement,” said Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Deborah Judd. Of the five firms, a newer version of RPI Infor Lawson and CherryRoad’s Oracle were the highest scoring proposals and moved to the in-depth demonstration phase of the selection process. The cloud updates every 90 days.” The vendor’s implementation timeline is divided into three phases: budget, finance and procurement; human resources and payroll; and recruitment. Finance including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, inventory, contract management, expenses and procurement is in the build phase and will be completed by July 2024.
