Following Almis evaluation, Scandinavian Realheart AB has been granted business development support of a total of SEK 0.850 million. In verification, Realheart intends to confirm the production technology for a sub-component that was previously performed by a supplier to instead ensure in-house production.Almi alone decides on the verification support, while Almi F\xf6retagspartner handles the other three supports on behalf of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and Region V\xe4stmanland, which makes the final decision on support based on Almis recommendation.The company has previously been awarded a development grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator of EUR 2.5 million. The artificial heart consists of a four-chamber system (two atria and two ventricles) designed to generate a physiological blood flow pattern that mimics the bodys natural circulation.
