Summary
The WBZ451 Curiosity Board provides engineers with an efficient and versatile development platform for prototyping wireless lighting, industrial automation, smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The board is designed for prototyping and demonstrating the capabilities of Microchips WBZ451PE Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee RF module. The WBZ451 Curiosity Board comes preconfigured with an out-of-the-box, multi-protocol demo application with a temperature sensor, a current measurement header and an RGB LED. The PIC32CX-BZ2 microcontrollers support multi-protocol wireless interfaces (Bluetooth and Zigbee) and have a hardware-based security accelerator, transceiver and power management unit (PMU). The RF-certified WBZ45 modules combine the PIC32CX-BZ2 wireless microcontrollers with either a PCB or an u.FL connector for external antennas.
