Evolving Landscape of Software Applications in Health Care

Megan Coder, PharmD, MBA: Dr. Cannon, would love to really get a better sense from you, the perspective that youre approaching this from, and curious to hear about some of how youve seen software applications and these digital therapeutic products really starting to influence and change some of the aspects of the healthcare system. Not only are we seeing digital therapeutics that were using with our patients, were seeing new software, new technology incorporated into our electronic medical records. Do you have any recollection in terms of other digital therapeutic products that you may have seen or heard about or aware of that address things that are more related to chronic conditions that arent as behavioral-focused? I think as were looking at seeing this field grow, when I first started in the digital therapeutic space, there were only a handful of companies, and now weve seen so much growth even to areas that I never expected to see mechanisms of action being developed for indications for use. So, as youre saying, the idea that digital therapeutics could be used in oncology and cancer settings is pretty incredible when you think about it.
