This time out, were going to take a look at a pair of JavaScript libraries that we can use in our TMS WEB Core projects to do something kind of amazing - modern-screenshot and FFmpeg . This newly created video can also be played directly in the browser - no need to download it or do anything other than sit back and watch. Or perhaps our application is running in some kind of unattended kiosk mode, where there isnt an option for errors to be reported directly, or the users wouldnt be expected to do so. Or maybe screenshots collected over a much longer time at a considerably lower frequency to monitor application state transitions that might not normally be readily apparent. Regardless of the rationale behind the desire to capture screenshots or video, getting these tools, particularly FFmpeg itself, to work entirely within our web application presents a few interesting technical challenges.
