The APS is the leading cause of stroke and heart attacks among young people, deep vein blood clots, and pregnancy losses.Grant of CHF 50,000 awarded to Dr Beat WalpothDr Beat Walpoth from the University of Geneva has been awarded a CHF 50,000 Grant for his pioneering research work in developing novel coatings for cardiovascular devices. Working currently on a startup project, Dr Walpoth, with over 40 years of experience in cardiovascular surgery and research, is a distinguished expert in the field, with a particular emphasis on medical devices, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
