San Diego International Airport Receives $20 Million from Federal Grant

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the Biden Administration has awarded San Diego International Airport (SAN) $20 million in discretionary grant funds as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Airport Terminal Program. "We truly appreciate the support of Senators Alex Padilla and Dianne Feinstein, and Congressman Scott Peters as well as our entire delegation, in making these funds available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law," said Kimberly Becker, President & CEO of San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. "The $20 million Airport Terminal Program grant will fund a portion of the New T1 project, the largest construction project in the San Diego County Regional Airport Authoritys history. When the project is complete, the terminal will support that purpose by making our airport more attractive to the millions of people who want to visit our beautiful city. The New T1 programs total project budget is $3.4 billion and is estimated to create between 15,000 to 20,000 construction-related jobs.
