Odyssey Wellness, a Fort Lauderdale, FL-based maker of a sparkling energy drink infused with functional mushrooms, raised $6.3M in Series A Equity funding. Led by Scott Frohman, Founder and CEO, Odyssey Wellness is the manufacture of Odyssey Elixir, a mushroom-based functional energy beverage line infused with a high concentration of adaptogenic and nootropic fruiting body extracts from Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps. The mushrooms also contain beneficial Beta glucans known to support digestion, heart health and immunity. Its mission is to offer a new type of energy drink with caffeine derived from natural green tea, no added sugar, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, or sweeteners. Since its debut last year, it is now available at over 5K brick and mortar locations, including natural, conventional retailers, and c-stores.
