PASQAL Introduces a New Emulator to Simulate Neutral Atom Quantum Processors

New Products

Summary

The new emulator from PASQAL, called EMU-TN, that has been integrated into the PASQAL Cloud Service that will mimic the function of the PASQAL QPUs and allow for the estimation of resources needed for a particular algorithm. This emulator uses a simulation technique called Tensor Network simulation which can provide more efficient and larger simulation capabilities for certain simulations than the more common State Vector approach. The simulator can also simulate a PASQAL processor running in an analog mode which is a mode that isn’t supported by many other quantum processors which only support digital mode. This provides some interesting capability such as dynamically placing the qubits in a unique topology optimized for the particular problem rather than a fixed 2D grid or other fixed configuration. For more information about this new emulator, you can read a blog posting describing it here and also look at a technical pre-print paper that describes it here.
