Latent Technology, a London, UK-based provider of a platform that allows game developers to build interactive and immersive worlds, closed a $2.1M pre-seed funding. The round was led by Root Ventures and Spark Capital, with participation from gaming fund Bitkraft. Led by Jorge del Val, CEO, and Jack Harmer, CTO, Latent Technology provides an AI platform for developers to create virtual worlds which feature real-time animation technology. Generative interactions through physics-based animation is a starting point, but by no means the end. We aim at nothing less than to help reinvent how virtual worlds are experienced and created, so that we can bring magic back to players and game creators.
