Netwrix snaps up Remediant to enrich its privileged access management offering

Data security firm Netwrix Corp. has acquired privileged access management startup Remediant Inc. for an undisclosed price to enrich its PAM offering. The company’s flagship SecureOne software offers agentless real-time visibility into standing 24×7 administrative access and one-click removal of unnecessary, always-on, always available privileged accounts. The service provides enriched contextual information about compromised privileged accounts to allow security teams to prioritize incident response and remediation. “We are excited to strengthen our offering in privileged access management to empower organizations with even better resistance to advanced threat,” Steve Dickson, chief executive officer of Netwrix, said in a statement Tuesday. “Netwrix now is the go-to company for protection from cyberattacks that leverage privileged access and lateral movement techniques.” Coming into its acquisition, Remediant had raised $15 million in 2019 and a further round for an undisclosed amount in 2020.
