Samsung top-load washing machines recalled due to potential fire, burn hazard

Samsung has issued a recall on its top-load washing machines due to the product being a potential fire and burn hazard. Currently, Samsung has received 51 reports of products smoking, melting, overheating, or catching on fire, with 10 of these reports resulting in property damage and three reports resulting in injuries due to smoke inhalation. The recalled product was sold at Best Buy, Costco, The Home Depot, Lowes, and other appliance stores and online on Samsungs website. To prevent this hazard, consumers who purchased the recalled product should check whether their washers software is up to date. Customers who do not have access to Wi-Fi to complete the update can contact Samsung for a free dongle to plug in and download the free software repair.
