Los Angeles-based Apex Space, a startup working on satellite technology, has raised $7.5M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by Andreessen Horowitz, and also included XYZ Venture Capital, J2 Ventures, Lux Capital and Village Global. Apex Space says it is working on the "satellite bus", the part of spacecraft that is used to host satelite payloads. The companys founders are Ian Cinnamon and Maximilian Benassi, who have previously worked at such companies as Synapse Technology (acquired by Palantir), SpaceX, and Astra.
