EPA: 1.72 billion RINs generated in September

The U.S. EPA has released data showing that 1.72 billion renewable identification numbers (RINs) were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in September, up from 1.62 billion generated during the same month of last year. Total D3 RIN generation for the first nine months of 2022 reached 430.31 million. Total D4 RIN generation for the first three quarters of this year reached 4.12 billion. Total D5 RIN generation for the first nine months of the year reached 220.82 million. Total D6 RIN generation for the first three quarters of 2022 reached 10.82 billion.
