The Algorand Foundation Pledges $150,000 Grant Support to Women Who Code

Through this partnership, WWCode will strengthen its core technology education and leadership development programming, as well as its BlockChain deep learning Track Community.The Algorand Foundations partnership with Women Who Code will help the nonprofit organization to continue serving its 290,000 members with over 1,800 free technical education events each year. However, those numbers are rising, and many organizations are starting to take notice of the potential impact that could be made by women as both users and developers of this growing technology.We believe that blockchain technology can only reach its true potential when women are equally represented at every level and are fully invested in this technology, said a spokesperson for the Algorand Foundation. WWCode is building a world where women are proportionally representative as technical leaders, executives, founders, VCs, board members, and software engineers. The organization has executed more than 14,000 free events around the world, garnered a membership exceeding 290,000 in 134 countries.
