Despite lacking any significant improvements, the Ggyu threat has retained the destructive capabilities of the STOP/Djvu Ransomware family, and its potential impact on the infected systems should not be underestimated. Victims of the malware will be left with a ransom note contained inside a newly created text file named _readme.txt. However, users who establish contact within 72 hours, will supposedly have to pay only half of that amount. Victims can send the file alongside their message to two email addresses found in the note.
