Cybercriminals have unleashed another dangerous ransomware variant based on the infamous STOP/Djvu malware family. Victims will be left unable to open or access their documents, PDFs, photos, images, archives, databases and more. The instructions left by Dewd Ransomware state that to receive the decryptor tool and decryption key necessary to restore the locked files, affected users will need to pay a ransom of $980. However, the sum can be reduced by 50% with the only requirement being that victims initiate communication within 72 hours of the Dewd Ransomware attack.
