General News

Summary

Hammerspace will partner with more than 600 of the world’s leading healthcare, research, patient advocacy, life science and information technology organizations to create the frameworks and standards for sharing genomic and health-related data. Genomics, microscopy, imaging and precision medicine communities have long faced challenges around data management and the infrastructure needed to support their research. These challenges have grown in order of magnitude of complexity as more powerful and higher-resolution instruments generate data at unprecedented rates. The computational resources required for discovery continue to increase, and both applications and people are scattered worldwide. Bringing together 600+ leading organizations working in healthcare, research, patient advocacy, life science, and information technology, the GA4GH community is working together to create frameworks and standards to enable the responsible, voluntary, and secure sharing of genomic and health-related data.
