Chiltern Capital-backed VIMA Group to be acquired by KBR

US technology and engineering corporation KBR is to acquire Chiltern Capital-backed VIMA Group for up to £75 million. VIMA Group, previously known as IMD Group, is a provider of specialist digital transformation solutions, that operates across the public sector, with a focus on defence and critical infrastructure. It offers services in data analytics, cyber assurance, business analysis and transformation, and project, programme and portfolio management. Chiltern, a lower mid-market buy and build specialist first backed VIMA in August 2019 and worked with the management team to implement an ambitious growth plan to develop the business. In June 2021, it further enhanced its cyber security and data analytics capabilities with the strategic acquisition of EITEC.
