Users who land on the page will be presented with several pop-ups and even a fake threat scan. The goal is to scare the unsuspecting visitors into following the shown instructions and installing a promoted software product. Rogue pages such as Defenderweb.xyz may change their behavior based on parameters such as the visitors IP address and geolocation.
