Press Release Receive press releases from RIFS (Research Institute of Fire Safety & Emergencies), Belarus: By Email RSS Feeds: 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Emergency Situations: Prevention and Elimination" Will be Held in Minsk, Belarus Minsk, Belarus, December 25, 2008 --( 5th International Scientific and Practical conference "Emergency Situations: Prevention and Elimination" will be dedicated to different aspects of fire protection industry and cover legal, economic, educational provision of life safety, prevention and reduction of consequences of emergencies, information and analytical systems for monitoring and responding to emergencies, computer modeling, safety of high-rise buildings.The Institute specializes in scientific and applied research and in experimental projects in the field of fire safety, prevention and elimination of emergency situations.The conference is initiated by the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and supported by Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergencies (RIFS) of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus.5th International Scientific and Practical conference "Emergency Situations: Prevention and Elimination" will be dedicated to different aspects of fire protection industry and cover legal, economic, educational provision of life safety, prevention and reduction of consequences of emergencies, information and analytical systems for monitoring and responding to emergencies, computer modeling, safety of high-rise buildings.The 4th International conference was attended by representatives from 30 countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Federal Republic of Germany, Hellenic Republic, Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Peoples Republic of China, Cuba, State of Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Poland, Russian Federation, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, United States of America, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Swiss Confederation, Sweden, Republic of Estonia, Japan as well as from 12 International Organizations – United Nations Development Program, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, United Nations Childrens Fund - UNICEF, International Atomic Energy Agency, World Bank, Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, International Finance Corporation, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.The participants are the representatives of government control bodies of the Republic of Belarus, people from business unions and professional organizations.The organizers of the conference seek presentations along fire protection and safety technologies and innovations.The Institute specializes in scientific and applied research and in experimental projects in the field of fire safety, prevention and elimination of emergency situations.
