PubNub, a San Francisco, CA-based global Data Stream Network (DSN), completed a $25m Series C financing round.The round was led by Sapphire Ventures with participation from Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (RBVC), Sound Ventures and Envision Ventures and existing investors Relay Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and TiE Angels.This company intends to use the funds for global growth in industrial IoT applications, clean energy and social collaboration applications.Led by Todd Greene, CEO, PubNub allows developers to connect, operate, and scale realtime applications and IoT devices via an API and a set of value-added features, including realtime device presence detection, message storage and playback, data stream syndication and data synchronization, and automatic catch-up of missed messages on unreliable networks.With over 2,000 customers and partners, PubNub is currently averaging 750 billion realtime transactions per month on over 300 million unique devices worldwide.
