According to a blog post (read here), AppFog, a Portland, OR-based platform-as-a-Service provider, has acquired Nodester.Led by Chris Matthieu, Alejandro Morales Gámez, Nodester is a 100% open source platform-as-a-service (PaaS), which offers free Node.JS hosting and can also be deployed as a private cloud in datacenter, public cloud service.Founded by Lucas Carlson, AppFog is an infrastructure agnostic Platform-as-a-Service company.Under the initial name PHP Fog, it received Series A funding from the Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, Founders Co-op, and others (read here).In August 2011, the company raised Series B funding and became AppFog (read here).
