Rapid Sheet Metal’s prototype facility has manufactured over 100,000 unique parts in the company’s 15-year history and sponsored dozens of local organizations.Based in Manchester, N.H., FIRST designs accessible, innovative programs to build self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology, and engineering.RAPID has been sponsoring local FIRST Robotics organizations for the past 5 years and has decided to open up the program to reach students nationwide and provide tools to support the interest in engineering.Rapid Sheet Metal was founded in 2001 by James Jacobs.The plug-in is used by industry leaders and Fortune 500 companies to quote and order sheet metal prototype parts.The FIRST program at RAPID will be managed by Sean Reilly.Based in Manchester, N.H., FIRST designs accessible, innovative programs to build self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology, and engineering.
