oHouse Raises $182M in Series D Funding
Summary
oHouse, a Seoul, South Korea-based lifestyle platform enabling customers to source and purchase goods for their homes, raised $182m in series D funding. Backers included SoftBank Ventures Asia, BRV Capital Management, Vertex Growth which is anchored by Temasek-backed Vertex Holdings, BOND, Korea Development Bank, IMM Investment and Mirae Asset Capital amongst others. The company intends to use the funds to grow its team internationally, building out its marketing, sales and product teams in key markets throughout the world, including appointing a head of US expansion, to incorporate machine learning and augmented reality (AR) functionality into its platform, and develop its logistics infrastructure. Led by Seungjae Lee, Founder and CEO, oHouse provides an app that offers a myriad of services inspired by content including: an e-commerce store, home remodeling, furniture delivery, home tasks (repairing & installation) and moving services. The company recently acquired Hipvan, an online furniture platform in Singapore, which will help oHouse expand its presence throughout Southeast Asia.
