American Express builds out services for members with acquisition of Resy

American Express has acquired Resy, a platform for restaurant reservations and management. Resy, which works with about 4,000 restaurants, has a B2C website and mobile application for restaurant bookings as well as offering customer relationship and booking technology services. The statement adds that Resy is primarily focused on the U.S. but also has a presence in the U.K. Europe, Canada and Australia. It also says that Amex recently acquired Cake Technologies, a U.K-based restaurant reservation platform and Pocket Concierge, a Japan-based restaurant booking platform. “There are myriad points of synergy between Resy and American Express that we look forward to pursuing together in the name of creating an end-to-end global dining platform.”
