Athenahealth’s cloud-based services help doctors collect payments, manage their practice and improve care. Its billing service gets 94% of claims paid the first time. The company, founded in 1997, serves some 47,000 health-care providers. With help from last year’s purchase of mobile-health company Epocrates Inc., its 2013 revenue grew 41% to $595 million compared with 2012.
