Aqua Raises $2.4M from IGNIA

Distribuidora Mexicana de Agua Purificada en Red S.A.P.I.de C.V., a Mexico City-based business that delivers clean, purified water directly to its low-income clients’ homes utilizing its wholly owned water grid, has received a MX$27.0m (approximately US$2.4m) investment from IGNIA Fund I, LP.The funding will help the company to expand food-grade quality water grids to bring the service to more customers and to conduct research and development activites.Founded in 2007, Aqua provides purified water directly to homes through its independent and proprietary thermo-infused food-grade water grids pre-installed in new housing developments.It is currently present in 11 states across Mexico.
