Getty cuddles up to OpenAI – the photo news of week 26/2026
Summary
Adobe has acquired Topaz Labs and plans to fold its AI image-enhancement technology into Creative Cloud during 2026. The deal gives Adobe a stronger position in photo editing while removing a popular standalone alternative for users who preferred one-time purchases over subscriptions. Getty Images also announced a licensing partnership with OpenAI, letting ChatGPT users access Getty’s image library with proper licensing and compensation. VSCO separately introduced VSCO One, a $500 annual professional platform that combines editing, portfolio, cloud, and client-management tools.
