Indian social commerce unicorn Meesho picked up $570 million in a funding round led by Fidelity Management & Research Co. and B Capital Group. The latest financing reportedly set a valuation of around $4.9 billion for the Bangalore-based company, which connects suppliers and resellers with potential customers on social media platforms. The round brings total funding to date for the 9-year-old company to around $170 million, per Crunchbase data. New York-based AlphaSense has closed a $180 million Series C financing round led by Viking Global Investors and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. AlphaSense’s market intelligence search engine uses AI to get insights from an assortment of business-related content such as research, conference call transcripts and trade journals.
